Ingredients
1 cup water
5 teaspoons cocoa powder - vegan, gluten free and refined sugar free
1/4 teaspoon liquid stevia or 1 1/2 teaspoons of powdered stevia - adjust to suit your tastes
1-2 teaspoons of agarve nectar, honey or maple syrup
1 stick of vanilla (scrape the insides and use both parts)
3 cups of your favourite non-dairy milk - my favourite is koko coconut milk
Your favourite essential oil - some of the most popular ones are - peppermint, vanilla, turmeric, almond, basil, cinnamon bark, wild orange and lavender
Directions
On a cooker, heat the water, cocoa powder, and sweetener until ingredients are smooth and combined.
Add the vanilla and milk, stirring gently and gradually bring to a simmer. Take out the vanilla pod and when ready, pour into your favourite mug.
Introduce flavour by swirling a toothpick dipped in your favorite essential oil.
